Early ACORN

ACORN always had an enormous visibility thanks first to the great number of units in use, but also thanks to the education channel. This meant constant innovation and great maintenance and update service. ACORN managed to benefit from the televised BBC series on programming and software.

ACORN was always able to offer powerful computers (more than Apple and PC) with easy interface and accessibility. Schools chose to use ACORN, thus proving the great quality, the number of software available and its reasonable prices.

ACORN was the first to understand the importance of multimedia and content in general. Proud of its British roots, ACORN computers have always been manufactured and serviced in England.

Finally, ACORN worked with the most prestigious IT partners: joint venture with Apple, collaboration with Oracle, Digital and Olivetti. ARM chip manufacturer was originally a joint venture emerging from ACORN.

New ACORN

In order to relaunch the famous ACORN brand, we needed to get back to the spirit of the brand and use it to offer a brand new range of computers. The attention paid to the design, power and usability were the three main objectives.
The logo was redesigned to be more modern and dynamic. ACORN brand also needed a new signature: a New Acorn for a New Age. This signature seems to say “you know ACORN, but with the new ACORN, you might be surprised”.
ACORN new range is mainly notebooks: they embody the spirit of the brand, its power and usability. On top of that, the elaborate design - an extreme thinness combined with the high definition of the screen - gives them modernity and a great look.

Three sizes to satisfy everyone: the 12 inches, the 15.4 inches and the 17 inches wide.

As always ACORN computers are 100% British including maintenance and guarantee in all the United Kingdom.

Every ACORN notebook is designed for a specific user but always reflects the spirit of the brand.
For example the 17” is the most powerful notebook of the range. Its design makes it perfect for demanding users and executives.

ACORN can even target women with this specific pink notebook: 15.4” screen, an Intel Core Duo chip, WiFi, DVD player and burner
